American Building Maintenance Co., 1940s

American Building Maintenance employees had enjoyed the benefits of union contracted work running from the late 1940's till the 1980's when contractors started signing on with non union employers. In under a decade these non union contracts resulted in slashed wages and reduced benefits for janitors across the country.
